Hello, thanks for visiting, and welcome to my blog! I’m Natasha (aka Albatine) a (late) thirty-something accountant, living in north London with my husband (Mr M) and our two young cats, Sapphire and Woody (not my choice, those are the names they came with).
I started this blog primarily as a place to record all the great places Mr M and I have been lucky enough to visit, giving me my very own little corner of the internet where I can go into a bit more detail than I’d want to in a Facebook check-in. As we both love eating and drinking, this blog will mainly focus on this area, although I may venture into other subjects, too.
The idea came to me recently when speaking to a friend at work about crazy golf courses in London. I told him about a place I’d visited last November and then gave him some advice on booking in advance if he didn’t want to end up queuing for ages. As this wasn’t the first time we’d had a conversation like this, I joked that I should become a concierge and he replied that I should write a blog.
This was my lightbulb moment – I love recommending great places to eat or for drinks, I love hearing about someone else’s experience in a place I’ve recommended, I love taking photos and (although I haven’t done it in a while) I had always enjoyed writing at school – blogging suddenly seemed obvious and I couldn’t believe I hadn’t thought of it before!
So here it is. Thanks again for visiting – I hope you enjoy reading!
